OUR HISTORY
Since 1989, we have grown alongside the Inditex Group to bring footwear to its brands worldwide.

1989
Tempe Grupo Inditex is born
Tempe S.A. begins its collaboration with the Inditex Group manufacturing footwear collections for Zara Kids. The company, located in Elche, Alicante in Spain, has 10 employees. Within 10 years, the firm employs 80 people.

1990
Tempe produces its first collections for Zara Women and Zara Men.
Having manufactured collections for Zara Kids, we begin work on our first footwear collections for Zara Women and Zara Men. This means changing our premises in Elche Business Park and significantly expanding our workforce.

1991
Tempe designs and produces footwear for the rest of the brands in the Inditex Group.
After Zara, in the years leading up to 2003 Tempe gradually takes on the footwear collections for Massimo Dutti, Pull&Bear, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho and Zara Home.

2002
Construction of our first logistics centre
We create a logistics centre covering more than 25,000 m2, and open our first manufacturing platform in Mexico.

2006
Tempe opens product management platforms in Asia and Brazil
We open offices in Asia and Brazil to ensure the efficient management of our business worldwide, while our staff also expands to include new colleagues from a range of nationalities.

2007
Tempe’s collections expand to include accessories
As of 2007, we begin to add accessories to our footwear collections for some of the Group’s brands.

2008
Uterqüe is born, and Tempe opens a new platform: Tempe India
With the founding of Uterqüe, at Tempe we officially produce all of the footwear collections sold by Inditex’s brands. We also add to our international offices with a new office in India.

2009
Expansion of offices in Asia
Tempe opens new offices in Asia in the city of Guangzhou. These new offices boast more than 1,100 m2 of working space and are located in one of the city’s most important business areas.

2010
First `for&from´ stores dedicated entirely to footwear
We open the first stores dedicated to footwear within the Inditex Group’s `for&from´ project in Allariz, A Coruña in collaboration with COGAMI; and in Elche, Alicante, in collaboration with APSA.

2011
New automated logistics centre
Construction of a new, automated logistics centre in Elche. With a surface area of 105,000 m2, it enables the company to continue its global growth.

2013
New offices in Asia
The inauguration of new offices in Kowloon allows Tempe to continue developing its business model.

2014
Tempe’s 25th anniversary and renovations to our facilities in Elche
Tempe renovates its facilities in Elche Business Park and celebrates its 25th anniversary.

2015
New ‘for&from’ store in Culleredo
We open our third ‘for&from’ footwear store in Culleredo, A Coruña: our contribution to the expansion of this Inditex Group project.

2017
‘for&from’ continues to grow
We have continued to work intensively on the ‘for&from’ project, opening our fourth store, in Madrid, in 2017 in conjunction with PRODIS. The store is located in the Sambil shopping centre in Leganés.

2018
Our logistics grow and so do our facilities in Asia
As we expand, so do our facilities. Our Tempe 3 logistics centre is expanded by another 20,000 m2 to reach a total surface area of 200,000 m2. We open new facilities in Tempe Asia (Guangzhou), investing in our international offices.
